Hotel Information

  Mauna Lani Resort at Kalahuipua’a:
The 21st CEOS Plenary will take place at the Mauna Lani Resort (www.maunalani.com). This five star, beachfront resort contains golf courses, a tennis club, and an award-winning spa. Located approximately 21 miles from the Keahole-Kona International Airport (KOA), the Mauna Lani offers complimentary snorkeling and rentable floatation gear. For those that wish to get an up close and personal view of the wildlife, a shark pond and a sea turtle pond are located onsite. Those that love the outdoors will appreciate the resort's walking trails and fishponds.

hotel lobby The Mauna Lani is also home to two ocean-view golf courses. The Sports and Fitness Club includes a three-lane lap pool a whirlpool, as well as classes in yoga, swimming, and surfing. The spa contains 25,000 square feet of indoor space and 15,000 square feet of outdoor space, and features an open-air lava rock sauna.

In addition, the hotel has an on-site car rental for those that wish to explore the Big Island. We encourage you to surf the hotel site and familiarize yourself with all the opportunities at your disposal.

Hotel Reservation and Rates:
A special group rate has been negotiated for participants of the 21st CEOS Plenary. Hotel reservations must be made before October 8, 2007, in order to receive the group rate. Guests will have three types of rooms to choose from, at varying rates. Room types will be based on availability so please make your arrangements as soon as possible.

Please note that participants can benefit from the group rate three days before and after the plenary (November 9-November 18).

  • Ocean View—USD$245.00
    Guestrooms feature views of tranquil fishponds, tropical foliage and the crystal blue Pacific.
  • Deluxe Ocean View—USD$275.00
    Located on the 5th & 6th floor, these guestrooms feature excellent views of tranquil fishponds, tropical foliage and the crystal blue Pacific.
  • Garden View—USD$195.00 (Sold Out)
    Overlooking the beautiful gardens of Mauna Lani, these rooms are perfect for guests who enjoy the colorful tropical foliage of Hawaii.

Hotel Terms and Conditions & Cancellation Policy:
All reservations must be booked by October 8, 2007. To guarantee your reservation, fourteen (14) days prior to arrival, a two (2) night deposit, plus tax (11.4166%) will be charged to your credit card. Reservations received after October 8, 2007 will be subject to space availability and the hotel's published rate. Deposit will be refunded if cancellation notice is received 10 days prior to arrival. Cancellations received within 10 days of arrival are subject to a two night's cancellation fee. Reduction in the number of nights of your reservation within 10 days of arrival will be subject to an attrition fee equivalent to the number of lost nights, up to a maximum of two nights. A $10 plus tax, roundtrip per person porterage charge will be applied to your account. A $2.50 per room, per day, plus 4.166% tax, maid gratuity is suggested. Please note that the porter tip is already included (porterage fee) so additional tipping is not needed. ROOM TYPES ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.

Programs for Kids
Making this a family vacation? The Mauna Lani offers a children's camp for kids ages 5-12. This is more than baby-sitting, the hotel has educational programs that will teach kids about the culture of Hawaii and eco-culture.
